College Courses

College moves fast, so I align tutoring to your professor’s syllabus, schedule, and grading. Email your syllabus (and key dates) to scaleduptutoring@gmail.com and I’ll build a focused plan around your course. Don’t see your class listed? Send the syllabus anyway-I routinely support a wide range of math, science, and economics courses and can confirm fit quickly.

 Biology

College biology moves from molecules and cells to systems and ecology, with a strong emphasis on experimental design and data analysis. Expect concept-first explanations, figure-reading practice, and exam-style problems aligned to your syllabus and labs.

General Chemistry

Foundations of stoichiometry, atomic structure, thermochemistry, bonding, kinetics, and equilibrium. We’ll build a systematic problem-solving toolkit with unit analysis, ICE tables, and graph reading to match lecture pace and exams.

Oceanography

Physical, chemical, geological, and biological processes of the oceans. Expect work with circulation and waves, seawater chemistry, primary productivity, and datasets/maps—translating quantitative patterns into clear explanations.

Statistics

Descriptive stats, probability, sampling, inference, regression, and experimental design. We’ll focus on interpreting output, checking assumptions, selecting the right test, and communicating results with clear, exam-ready reasoning.

Genetics

Covers Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, molecular genetics, gene regulation, and population genetics. We’ll emphasize problem sets (pedigrees, probabilities, linkage/LODs), figure interpretation, and experimental reasoning aligned to your syllabus.

Organic Chemistry

Structure, reactivity, and mechanisms for major functional groups. We’ll focus on pattern recognition (acid/base, resonance, stereochemistry), curved-arrow mechanism fluency, and multistep synthesis with plenty of exam-style practice.

Physics

Mechanics, E&M, waves, and/or thermodynamics depending on the course track. We’ll develop equation sense and free-body/field diagram fluency, blend conceptual reasoning with math, and run timed, exam-style problem sets.

Microeconomics

Consumer/producer theory, market structures, elasticity, welfare, and game theory. Expect graph fluency, comparative statics, and problem sets that tie math to intuition—plus practice with short answers and model-based explanations.

Ecology

From populations and communities to ecosystems and biogeochemical cycles. Expect quantitative models (growth, Lotka–Volterra), data analysis from field/lab studies, and practice interpreting graphs, tables, and primary literature.

Earth Science

Geology, atmosphere, oceans, and climate as an integrated system. We’ll practice reading maps/strat columns, interpreting seismic and mineral data, and connecting processes (plate tectonics, weathering, cycles) to real-world examples.

Logic

Propositional and predicate logic, proofs, validity/soundness, and sometimes modal or set theory. We’ll practice symbolization, truth tables, natural deduction, and common proof strategies to build clear, stepwise reasoning.

Macroeconomcs

National income accounting, inflation, unemployment, growth, and fiscal/monetary policy. We’ll connect models (AD–AS, IS–LM, money market) to real data, practice policy analysis, and sharpen graph-based and essay responses.
